Richmond was Jane’s hometown growing up and she is happy to be practicing in the community she grew up in.  In 2003, Jane graduated from Victoria University of Wellington with a Bachelor of Arts and went on to work in the public service for Immigration New Zealand in various roles including, writing operational policy, undertaking project work and assessing refugee claims and other complex applications. 

Jane took a career break to raise her family and returned to study law at Waikato University in 2017.  In 2023, Jane graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) with first class honours.  She went on to teach Immigration Law for the postgraduate licenced immigration advisor qualification.  After this Jane began her law practice at Nelson Community Law and for the last few years has been practicing law in a local Nelson firm focusing on family law.

Jane joined the team at Richmond Law in August 2026.

Jane assists clients with relationship property matters and can advise on care of children arrangements and immigration matters. With her background in family law litigation, Jane will be assisting Stephen with a wide range of litigation matters.
